Green Oak

Green Oak 'Blades'
I'm getting better at this Blogging thing and thought I would share with you a couple of pics from the building of the Loggia.

It is made of Green Oak which is such a heavy wood but is so rewarding to work with.  The Architect sourced this timber which was comparatively free from blemishes.

We made seemingly countless blades for the construction which were mortised into the timbers and then pegged.

The green oak complements the design of this unique building in a lovely setting
